This policy explains what Trusspoint Technologies LLC (“SnapTerra”) collects when you use the SnapTerra app, this website and the tour links we host, what we do with it, and your choices. We don't sell personal information. No advertising company's tracker, pixel or SDK runs on our website or in our app, and we don't track you across other companies' apps or websites. Our iPhone app does use Apple's own AdServices to learn which Apple Ads campaign, if any, led to the download (see “How you found us”).
What we collect
From agents and other account holders
- Account: name, email (confirmed by a link we email you), and a password (stored only as a hash).
- Your iPhone's first home: the SnapTerra app uses Apple's DeviceCheck to give the first home once per iPhone. Apple keeps two yes/no flags for each iPhone for us (we use one: “this iPhone has had its first home”); we never get an identifier for the device, and Apple tells us nothing else about it.
- Profile and branding: brokerage, license number and state, logo, colors and the contact details you choose to show on your tours.
- Payments: purchases are made in the iPhone app through Apple's App Store, which handles your payment details; we never see them. We keep what you bought, the amounts and Apple's transaction numbers.
How you found us
- On our website: if you arrive through an ad or a tagged link (for example from Meta or Google, an agent's referral link or an affiliate's link), we keep its tags (the campaign's name, the ad click's reference number, the referral or affiliate code, the page you landed on and the site you came from) in our own cookie for up to 90 days. When you create an account, we save them with it.
- In our iPhone app: after your first sign-in, the app uses Apple's AdServices: it gets a token from Apple (valid for a day) and sends it to us, and we send it to Apple's attribution server. Apple answers whether an Apple Ads ad led to the download and, if one did, which of our campaigns, ad groups, keywords and ads it was, the date and the country. We keep that answer with your account and drop the token. This isn't tracking across other companies' apps (Apple doesn't ask permission for it), and no ad company's SDK is involved.
- We use this only to see what our advertising costs per new subscriber and to pay affiliates. Nothing is sent to Meta, Google or any other ad company (Apple's attribution server gets only the token above); an affiliate sees the agents they referred only as a masked email address, the dates and their commission.
Scans and tours
- Photos, depth (LiDAR) data, the phone's movement during the scan, 360° photos if you use a 360 camera, and the title, address and room names you type.
- What we make from them: floor plans, 360° photo tours, walkable 3D homes, covers and download files.
- Scans show the inside of homes and can show personal things. See “The people in and around the homes” below.
From visitors to tours
- View counts: how many times each tour was opened per day (a number, not who opened it).
- Buyer inquiries: if you use the contact form on a tour, your name, email or phone and message go to that tour's agent.
- Reports: if you report a tour, your reason and (if you give it) your email. We keep a one-way hash of your internet address to limit abuse, not the address itself.
- Our hosting providers keep standard server logs (internet address, browser, time) for security, for a short time.
How we use it
- To make, check, host and deliver your tours, and to bill and support you.
- Automatic checks: before a tour can go online, our computers look for people, faces, documents and screens in it in order to blur or mask them (a tour that can't be cleaned up is held, not published), and for explicit content in order to hold it. This detects that something is there; it never identifies who anyone is.
- To send you emails about your account and tours (confirming your email, “your tour is online”, billing). We don't send text messages. [Marketing emails: opt-in, to be decided.]
- To keep SnapTerra secure and to improve it (for example, picture-quality scores across tours).
- To count which ads and partners bring new agents (in totals, per week) and to pay affiliates their commissions.
The people in and around the homes
Interiors are private. Agents must have the owner's and occupants' permission before scanning and publishing (see our terms). If you live in or own a home that appears in a SnapTerra tour and didn't agree to it, use the “Report” link on the tour or write to privacy@snapterra.app; we take tours down on valid requests.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers that run SnapTerra for us, under contracts that limit their use of it:
- Vercel (this website), Cloudflare (file storage and delivery), Neon (database).
- Our own processing computers, and RunPod (rented graphics computers) when ours are busy.
- Resend (email), Apple (App Store purchases, DeviceCheck's two flags per iPhone, and which Apple Ads campaign led to a download).
Tours you put online are visible to anyone with their link. We disclose information when the law requires it, and to a buyer of our business, who must keep this policy's promises.
How long we keep it
- Raw scans (photos, depth): [draft: 90 days after the tour is delivered, so we can remake it, then deleted].
- Tours: while your account is open. A tour's public copy is deleted the moment it goes offline; its private copy stays so you can download it or put it back online.
- Buyer inquiries: until the agent deletes them or closes their account.
- Payment records: [7 years], for tax law.
- Reports: [2 years]. Server logs: [30 days].
- How you found us: the cookie lasts 90 days; what we saved with your account stays while it's open. When the account is deleted, all of it is deleted (the campaign tags, click reference numbers, referral and affiliate codes, landing page, referring site and Apple's answer) except the channel's name (for example “Meta”), kept in our counts, and, if an affiliate referred you, which affiliate: their commission records need it, since a later refund still changes them.
- Close your account any time (Account → Close your account, on the web or in the iPhone app): your tours go offline at once and are deleted with their leads and view counts, and you are signed out everywhere. Backups roll off within [30 days]. Payment records stay, without your name or email, as tax law requires. DeviceCheck's flag stays with the iPhone at Apple: it says only that the iPhone has had a first home, not whose.
Your choices and rights
- See and correct your details in Account; download any paid tour's complete folder from its page; take any tour offline at any time.
- Ask us for a copy of your information, or to delete it, at privacy@snapterra.app.
- Nevada residents: we don't sell covered information (NRS 603A); you can still send us an opt-out request. [California and other state rights: to be confirmed by the lawyer for when they apply.]
Security
Tours that aren't online are kept in private storage that only your account (and your team's admins) can open; tour links use long random identifiers; passwords are hashed; payments are handled by the processors above.
Children
SnapTerra is for adults (18+). We don't knowingly collect information from children.
Changes and contact
We will post changes here and tell account holders before material changes take effect. Questions: privacy@snapterra.app.
For the lawyer: open questions
- Retention periods above (raw scans, payment records, reports, logs, account deletion).
- Face detection for blurring: biometric-law review (BIPA and similar) and the right description.
- Which state privacy laws apply at launch volumes (CCPA thresholds, Nevada SB 220, others) and the notices they need.
- Buyer inquiries: SnapTerra as processor for the agent, or controller? Wording for the contact form.
- Apple's App Store privacy “nutrition label” answers to match this policy (Apple Ads attribution through AdServices: no tracking under Apple's definition).
- The campaign cookie: whether a cookie notice or consent is needed where we advertise (first-party, measurement only, 90 days).
